Do you ever think that the problem with life is other people?

Do you ever think that the problem with life is other people?
So much resistance to your stories and ideas…
I often think the same about cats…
With their whiskered, sneaky faces.

All those slippery movements…
Bearing the fingerprints (paw prints) of mistrust…
Always going in a different direction…
Leaving an unfamiliar bookmark.

For me, these judgments are my own self-indictment…
Chipping away at my peace bit by bit…
Making me lose touch with myself…
Blowing me too and fro without direction.

Let us flush these thoughts!

It’s time to leave base camp and go to a higher summit…
Take a moment to search from where, how and why we are here…
Our souls all have the fingerprints of some other place…
And that is where we all will return.

So, smell the autumn leaves…
Embrace, breathing, eating, sleeping, every gift of life…
It is a language that needs no subtitles…
And love your neighbor as yourself.

I love you,

Annie
