I surrender to the rain…

I surrender to the rain…
I just bend and ride like an old oak swaying in the wind…
For me it doesn’t wash away my purpose…
Because I’m planted in love.

Listen closely, the drops are the universe singing…
Puddling the lilies in the most elegant waters…
Never telling lies…
Never disrespecting.

Funny, why you would think that you are responsible for the storms on this earth…
It’s a weight that’s too heavy to carry…
You are a good person, through and through…
But your burden is too big.

The mud forms around my paws…
The wind squeezes me with excitement…
There is no good reason for me to try to escape…
Why? Because everything is turning into thankfulness.

You know, it’s not by chance that birds can fly…
They carry no weight but their own…
They are lighter than their simple troubles…
Why?
Because they have surrendered to the rain.

Try letting go, you may find that you also can fly!

I love you,

Annie
